This is a situation where Alex Pereira looks to be the boogeyman for Israel Adesanya. We’d make a strong argument that Adesnaya was robbed of a decision in the first kickboxing matchup. In the 2nd kickboxing bout Adesanya was winning. He had Pereira against the ropes, but suffered a big shot and got knocked out. It was a similar story in the UFC matchup back in November. Adesanya looked great early and was winning, but got caught late in the fight. This is a big “if”, but if Adesanya can simply avoid the devastating blow, he should win this fight.
