Padres @ Reds 5:10pm
Padres Moneyline (-130)
We are going to continue to fade Reds starting pitcher Graham Ashcraft. Over his last 8 starts, Ashcraft holds a 12.82 ERA, 2.18 WHIP, and 7.63 FIP. These are not metrics we want to put our money behind, regardless of how well the Reds offense is playing. The Padres were swept by the Pirates in their last series. It’s been a highly disappointing season so far for a San Diego team that had World Series aspirations, yet currently sits 7 games below .500 (37-44). That being said, this matchup against Graham Ashcraft should be a great opportunity for the Padres offense to get rolling. San Diego will start veteran righty Seth Lugo, who has solid numbers on the road this season (3.21 ERA, 1.18 WHIP, and 3.81 FIP). The Padres hold the better bullpen metrics, and should have the pitching advantage throughout the duration of this game. Our wager is on the Padres moneyline.
