Rangers vs. Astros 5:03pm
(Series Tied 2-2)
Rangers Moneyline (-110)
After holding a commanding 2-0 series lead, the Rangers have dropped both of their home games. This series is tied 2-2 heading into a crucial game 5. Rangers starter Jordan Montgomery has made 3 starts this postseason (all on the road). The Rangers won all 3 of those games. Montgomery pitched extremely well in 2 of the 3 games but struggled against Baltimore. In addition to pitching well against Houston in game 1 of this series, Montgomery faced the Astros once in the regular season. He pitched 6.2 innings, allowing 1 earned run and recorded a win. Astros starter Justin Verlander lost game 1 of this series. However, he has looked sharp in both of his postseason starts. Verlander has a 1.42 ERA in 12.2 innings this postseason. With two starters who have been pitching well, and two bullpens that have been inconsistent, this wager comes down to the offenses for us. The Rangers offense has been fantastic at home all year. This Rangers team knows that going back to Houston down 3-2 is not ideal. We expect the Rangers to empty the tank tonight to salvage dropping all 3 of their home games. Our wager is a half unit on the Rangers moneyline.
