Cubs starter Kyle Hendricks has pitched phenomenal on the road this season. He holds a 2.78 ERA and 0.90 WHIP in 45.1 road innings. The struggles for Hendricks this season have come at Wrigley Field, where he holds a 5.50 ERA and 1.36 WHIP. The good news for Hendricks is that this game is not at Wrigley Field. On the other side of this pitching matchup is Mets lefty David Peterson. Similar to Hendricks, Peterson has extreme home/road splits. The only difference is Peterson has pitched well at home, whereas he holds a 7.75 ERA and 1.80 WHIP on the road. Over this same 30 day span, the Mets offense is batting .219 (2nd worst in MLB), with a bottom 5 slugging percentage (.378) and OPS (.675).
