One MLB Bet To Consider On Thursday August 10th 2023
Twins @ Tigers 1:10pm
Twins Moneyline (-145)
Twins starting pitcher Kenta Maeda has been fantastic since returning to the Twins in late June. Maeda battled some injuries over the last few seasons, including missing the entire 2022 season. He finally looks to be healthy. Maeda has a 0.72 WHIP in his last two starts, and has averaged over 12 strikeouts per 9 innings throughout the last month. On the other side of the starting pitching matchup is Tigers rookie Reese Olson. At home this season, Olson is 1-3 with a 5.68 ERA in 31.2 innings. The Tigers have lost the last 6 games that Olson has appeared in. Offensively, the Twins have the better lineup. Over the last month the Twins offense has a .817 OPS (4th best in MLB). During that same month's time span, the Tigers have a .691 OPS. Neither bullpen has been particularly good recently. However, we like the advantage for the Twins both in the starting pitching matchup, and offensively. The Minnesota Twins on the moneyline is our wager.
