Miami vs. Duke 7:00pm
Miami +3 (-110)
Duke made a big statement in their opening game of the ACC tournament against Pitt yesterday. Miami on the other hand, nearly let a game slip away against Wake Forest, but escaped with a win. These two teams met twice in the regular season and split those games. In the first matchup, Miami went on the road to Cameron Stadium and suffered a 2 point loss (66-68). In the second matchup, Duke traveled into Miami, and the Hurricanes blew them out (81-59). This Miami group has the 13th ranked adjusted offensive efficiency rating in the nation. Duke's offense ranks 48th in this metric. Defensively, Duke grades out much higher in most metrics. That said, we expect a shootout here with two hot offenses. We’ve already seen Miami get the better end of this matchup once, and they stayed within 2 points in a hostile environment on the road. With this game being played at a neutral site, we have no reason to believe that the Hurricanes won’t stay within this number. Miami is led by a highly experienced coach in Jim Larranaga. While Jon Scheyer has done a great job in his first season as the head coach of Duke, he's still a young first year coach with limited experience. Give us the underdogs with the +3 points for one unit.
