Phillies vs. Astros 8:03pm
(World Series Game 4)
Phillies Lead Series 2-1
Phillies vs. Astros 8:03pm
Phillies Moneyline (-104)
The Houston Astros are in the most vulnerable spot that they've been in all season. This team cruised to the #1 seed in the American League during the regular season. The Astros followed that up by sweeping through the first 2 series of the postseason against the Mariners and Yankees. Tonight the Astros find themselves down 2-1 in the series, up against a Phillies team that has yet to lose a home game. The Phillies caught a massive break with the postponed game on Monday. The extra day allowed them to avoid a Noah Syndergaard/bullpen game, and instead stay with a 3 man rotation (Nola, Wheeler, Suarez) for the time being. We will have to monitor what the Phillies do with Zack Wheeler and keep an eye on his status. That being said, this Phillies team looks to smell blood in the water. We expect them to play to end this series in Philly and avoid going back to Houston. Aaron Nola was hit pretty hard in his first start this series. However, most of that damage was done in 2 swings (2 home runs) by Kyle Tucker. Astros starter Christian Javier has been pitching well this postseason, but he hasn't pitched in 11 days. Javier also faced a slumping Yankees offense in his only postseason start. We will side with the Phillies offense and Aaron Nola tonight. Our bet is one unit.
