Steelers vs. Titans 8:15pm
Steelers -2.5 (-115)
We are going to lay the -2.5 behind the Steelers tonight. There are two coaches in the NFL who are historically known for giving rookie QBs a hard time. Those coaches are Bill Belichick of the Patriots, and Mike Tomlin of the Steelers. Tomlin has won over 80% of his games against rookie QBs in his head coaching tenure (23-5). It was an impressive debut last week for Titans rookie QB Will Levis. However, Levis was going up against a poor Falcons defense. The Falcons defense ranks well below the league average in pass coverage and pass rush. The Steelers pass rush is very good behind TJ Watt. We expect Will Levis to be under pressure much more frequently tonight. This will also be Will Levis’s first road start. Pittsburgh is always a tough environment to get a win. The terrible towels will be swinging, and the crowd will be loud! Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has over a 60% cover rate against the spread when playing at home after a loss. The Steelers defense will be missing a key player in their secondary Minkah Fitpatrick. Regardless, we like the Steelers chances of winning this game behind their defense. Steelers QB Kenny Pickett is expected to play, and he will have both of his top WRs available. Dionte Johnson was a big loss for this offense, but he’s back and looked good last week. We will lay the -2.5 points with the Steelers.
