Thursday Night Football Best Bet 12/1/2022
Patriots vs. Bills 8:15pm
Patriots +4 (-107)
There are a few signals in this game that we simply cannot ignore. The first of which is the line movement. This line opened Bills -5.5. Despite the public tickets heavily favoring the Bills, the "sharper" or smarter money seems to be driving this number toward the Patriots. The 5.5's slowly disappeared throughout the week, and shortly after the 4.5's vanished. To our knowledge, PointsBet is hanging the only remaining 4. Most other books are down to 3.5. In addition to the line movement, the Bills defense has fallen far from where they were in the beginning of the season. A large part of that decline is due to injuries, which will continue with Von Miller out tonight. The health of Josh Allen's throwing elbow remains to be unclear, although it has not slowed him down in recent weeks. This is a borderline must win game for the Patriots as far as the AFC East division is concerned. A Patriots loss tonight would put them 3 games behind the Bills in the division with only 5 games remaining. We expect to see the best version of the Pats on primetime tonight. Our bet is 1 unit on the home dogs to stay within the number.
