TCU vs. West Virginia 9:00pm
TCU -1.5 (-110)
TCU has been one of the best home teams in the nation this season. Since November 15th, TCU has only lost one home game, which was a two point loss to a very good Iowa State team. KenPom’s home court advantage estimates have TCU ranked within the top 5 best home court edges in the nation (valued at 4.3 points). It’s interesting to note, most of the top home court advantages are due to factors such as elevation, which can throw off an athlete who is not accustomed to it. That is not the case with TCU. Their arena is small and only holds about 6,800, but it gets very loud in there! TCU is a fantastic defensive team, they currently rank 13th in adjusted defensive efficiency. On the offensive side of the ball, TCU is very good inside the perimeter. However, they one of the worst 3 point shooting teams in the country, so don’t expect to see a lot of TCU's points come from beyond the arc. West Virginia is coming off of two big wins against Texas Tech and Auburn. The Mountaineers also already beat TCU by 9 points earlier this season in West Virginia. That said, we expect this matchup to play out differently in Texas tonight. This is West Virginia's second time playing a road game in Texas within a week, while playing a home game played in between. It's a tough spot, and a quick turnaround. Our bet is a half unit on TCU to cover.
