Padres vs. Phillies 4:35pm
(NLCS Game 2)
Phillies Lead Series 1-0
Phillies Moneyline (+100)
The Padres are in a vulnerable spot after losing game 1 last night. If they lose this game today, the Padres will head to Philadelphia for 3 straight games down 0-2. We see a slight edge for the Phillies in this starting pitching matchup between Aaron Nola and Blake Snell. Some of you may remember that Blake Snell is the pitcher who hit Bryce Harper earlier this season and caused him to miss significant time. Aside from that small revenge factor, Blake Snell pitched against the Phillies twice this season. Snell lost both starts and had an ERA of 6.75. In addition, Snell did not look sharp against the Mets in the Wild Card series. He walked 6 batters in 3.1 innings. The Phillies were top 10 in the MLB at hitting left handed pitching. For Aaron Nola, he has been lights out this postseason! He's 2-0 and has yet to give up an earned run. Nola faced the Padres once this season. He lost the game but threw 7 strong innings, and allowed just 1 earned run with 10 strikeouts. Both bullpens have been great. Our bet is a half unit on the Phillies.
