One MLB Bet To Consider On Tuesday July 18th 2023
Orioles vs. Dodgers 7:05pm
Orioles Moneyline (-115)
We see a clear advantage for the Orioles in this starting pitching matchup. Dodgers starter Michael Grove has an 11.15 ERA and 2.47 WHIP on the road this season. Grove especially struggles against left handed hitters on the road. He holds a 2.87 WHIP and 6.02 FIP when facing lefties away from Dodgers Stadium. This Orioles lineup has 7 left handed hitters in it. This looks to be a less than ideal matchup for Michael Grove. Orioles starting pitcher Tyler Wells has a 2.57 ERA and 0.82 WHIP at home this season. Wells leads the entire MLB in WHIP (0.93), and ranks 2nd trailing only Shohei Ohtani in opposing batting average (.193). The Dodgers bullpen has been very good over the last month, but their overall bullpen metrics are below average. The Orioles top two relief pitchers are fresh with two days of rest. We will side with the pitching advantage for the Orioles. Our stake is a half unit.
