Nuggets vs. Suns 8:30pm
(Game 1 Series Tied 0-0)
Nuggets -2.5 (-114)
The Nuggets have been the best home team in the NBA to this point (37-7). Whether it’s the high altitude, the fans, or combination of many variables, playing in Denver is a legitimate edge for the Nuggets. Offensively, the Nuggets were the most efficient scoring team in the NBA this season. Denver was the only team to average over 50% from the field. The Nuggets also finished top 5 in three point percentage (38.7%). The Suns are arguably the most talented team in the NBA. However, it’s important to remember that this team has not played together much this season. Kevin Durant missed time with an injury after joining the team. The Suns also traded away a lot of their depth in the acquisition of KD. The core of the Nuggets roster has been together for multiple seasons. Each player on this Nuggets roster knows their role, and plays it well. Denver should have a strong edge in terms of team chemistry throughout this series. We will lay the 2.5 points with the Nuggets, and root for the home team to take care of business in game 1. This should be an exciting and competitive series. Enjoy the game!
