Warriors vs. Celtics 9:00pm
NBA Finals (Game 5)
There has been a wild trend with these two teams bouncing back after loss. The Boston Celtics are 7-0 this postseason after a loss, and the Warriors are 6-0 after a loss. The Celtics lost in game 4, so if you were to blindly follow this trend, the Celtics would be your pick tonight. For us, we are not taking much stake into a trend with a relatively small sample size. Instead, our bet will be on that trend to break tonight, and for the home team to win the game. The Warriors did not get much production from their bench and role players over the last 2 games on the road. Players such as Otto Porter Jr., Gary Payton II, Jordan Poole, and Draymond Green have struggled. That being said, role players tend to perform better behind their home crowd, and that is what we expect to happen tonight. It does make us a bit nervous knowing Steph Curry could be due for some regression. Curry has been absolutely fantastic, and he has covered up a lot of offensive deficiencies amongst his teammates. If that regression comes tonight, those role players need to show up and be the difference. Our bet is one unit on the Warriors moneyline.
