For the second night of the In-Season Tournament playoffs, we’re rolling with a half unit bet on the New York Knicks +5 against the Milwaukee Bucks. We expect a close, competitive game that could end up sending either team to Vegas for the next round of the playoffs. The last time these two teams matched up was their first game of the group stage. Milwaukee won 110-105. In that game, Jalen Brunson scored a season high 45 points. That was almost enough to overcome Julius Randle’s 5-20 shooting slump, and relatively no production off the Knicks bench. Earlier this season, Randle was shooting sub 20% from the field, and the Knicks bench was struggling to maintain scoring without the starters on the floor. The Knicks bench was averaging less than 30 points per game. Since then, Randle has improved to 42% from the field, and the bench has been able to up their scoring average to 45 points per game (since mid-November). The Bucks have not been the dominant team that their roster might suggest they would be. The Knicks have been grinding out close games in tough environments all season long. Tonight, we’re betting on that trend repeating itself. Our stake is the half unit.
