Georgia vs. Miss. State 6:30pm
Georgia +2.5 (-110)
A couple things to note in this game. First, Georgia has been very good at home this season (9-0), with a notable win against Auburn last week. Georgia does have a couple concerning losses (Georgia Tech & Wake Forest), but both of those were on the road. The strengths of this Georgia team are mostly on the defensive side of the ball. On offense, Georgia is an above average 3 point shooting team, and they rank within the top 25 nationally in offensive rebounding. On the other hand with Mississippi State, our concern with this team is specifically on offense. Their effective field goal percentage metrics are very poor. Mississippi State does not shoot the 3 ball well, they're a poor free throw shooting team, and they struggle to get efficient baskets inside of the perimeter. Mississippi State plays behind their elite defense, which ranks 12th in the nation in adjusted defensive efficiency. Georgia will need to play well offensively for this ticket to cash, but we are going to take a half unit flyer with the home dogs.
