Iona had a great run with Rick Pitino last season. However, Pitino has moved on to St. John’s, and Iona will only return one player from last year’s group. Pitino is replaced by FDU’s Tobin Anderson. Some may remember Anderson from his bold prediction from last season's NCAA Tournament. FDU upset #1 seeded Purdue as a #16 seed in the NCAA tournament, and Anderson had a viral clip surface prior to that game. While this looks to be a solid replacement for Iona, this team and program has some rebuilding to do. The College of Charleston is returning several key players from last season's 31 win team. Charleston plays extremely fast, and they brought in players in the transfer portal who fit their scheme and style of play. We will lay the 7 points behind Charleston, who we expect to be the far better team this season.
