Make sure you get to a TV for this fight! Terrance McKinney is one of the most exciting fighters on the UFC roster. This kid is all action, and you should expect fireworks right out of the gate. Terrance McKinney’s average fight time is in the 2-3 minute range. He has consistently tried to finish his opponents as quickly as possible throughout his 18 career fights. A pretty crazy stat, 16 of McKinney’s 18 fights have ended in round 1, and he has NEVER been to a judge's decision. We feel very good about backing McKinney at this (-120) price. The most likely path to victory for him is a knockout or submission. However, despite Terrance McKinney never going to the scorecards, he has good wrestling and volume which should bode well if that scenario were to occur. Ismael Bonfim is the older of the two Bonfim brothers, both of which are fighting on this card. Ismael Bonfim has not lost a fight since 2014, he's a very tough opponent. Similar to McKinney, Bonfim has a diverse portfolio of finishes on his resume. The difference is when we watch tape on Bonfim (which was tough to find), he simply doesn’t jump out the way McKinney does. Our biggest concern with Terrance McKinney is not his gas tank, but rather his willingness to exchange and take damage. In his last fight against Erick Gonzalez, McKinney got rocked a couple times. Prior to that against Drew Dober, he absorbed a lot of damage as well. That said, Terrance McKinney nearly knocked Dober out early in that fight, which should speak loudly regarding his power. We are rolling with a 1.25 unit bet on Terrance McKinney to win. This kid is a name to watch out for as a dark horse in the lightweight division. A win here will potentially get Terrance McKinney a top 15 ranking, or damn close if not.
