Kansas @ Baylor 9:00pm
Kansas +2.5 (-115)
Kansas is coming off of back to back losses heading into this matchup (TCU & Kansas State). Baylor has won four straight games after starting 0-3 in conference play. Much of Kansas' struggles over the last two games have had to do with poor shooting. Their best shooter (Gradey Dick) has gone ice cold, shooting just 18% (3-16) from three point range over the last two games. Baylor’s defense is average at defending the perimeter, so this Kansas offense should have a good opportunity to get back on track shooting the ball. The Jayhawks are much better on the defensive side of the ball. Kansas ranks inside the top 20 in adjusted defensive efficiency (Baylor ranks 93rd in this metric). One of Baylor's biggest weaknesses this season has been defending in transition, which they will see a lot of with Kansas tonight. The danger in fading this hot Baylor offense is their backcourt's ability to pile on points from the three point line. However, Kansas is very good at forcing their opponents to shoot contested three point shots. Those open uncontested looks that Baylor likes to get should be much harder to come by tonight. We are going to take the 2.5 points with the road dogs. Our stake is a half unit.
